Peeq Donates Sunglasses to Children in Need, Protecting Eye-Health Around the World

From its very founding, Peeq has set out to support eye-health of children in need.

All around the world, particularly in sunny regions, people are exposed to the sun's harmful UV rays.

The evidence shows that children are most at-risk for developing eye-diseases resulting from exposure to the sun. According to one scientific journal:"Childhood is a period of particular susceptibility to the carcinogenic effects of solar radiation"

According to Healthline, The American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO) has issued an advisory on the damage that sun exposure can cause to the eyes — including diseases such as cataracts. “I certainly think that the eyes need to be protected every bit as much as the skin from sun exposure,” Dr. Randy McLaughlin, an ophthalmologist at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, told Healthline.

As reported by Harvard Health Publishing, "Our eyes are most vulnerable to the sun’s ultraviolet rays in our teens, 20s, and 30s, although the damage usually doesn’t show up until later in life."

Whenever you buy from Peeq, we donate a pair of sunglasses to a child in need. And we truly mean one for one, we're not just donating some vague percentage of profits. Peeq will donate one pair of sunglasses for every pair purchased.
